In 2016 I worked on a series of portraits of five Visiting Nurses in the Netherlands. Celebrating the 10th birthday of Buurtzorg.
In collaboration with the professional nurses and their clients, I made 20 drawings after a 3 month research period. The works are life size and presentend as dyptichs.
Focus is centered on the body and production of care within the private sphere of the home.
Next to the drawings, small stories and installations are part of the collection. One work for example resulted in a series of hand drawings displayed on a wooden shelve that was made by the client of one of the nurses.
A small publication was made (design by Kathrin Hero) Most of the portraits are installed in the open offices of the nurses through the Netherlands, others are on view at Buurtzorg's head office in Almelo.
